Spiritual and social dimensions of aging and caregiving comprise the theme for this biennial conference.

Keynote Speakers:
Lisa P. Gwyther, started the Duke University Center for Aging's Alzheimer's Family Support Program in 1980. She directs education for the Joseph and Kathleen Bryan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Duke University Medical Center.

Lela Knox-Shanks is a local advocate for caregivers, an authority on caregiving for persons with Alzheimer's Disease and author.

Conference sponsors are The Center for Healthy Aging, Ministries, Programs and Services (CHAMPS), the University of Nebraska at Omaha Dept. of Gerontology, Life Long Learning Initiative, and School of Social Work, the United Way of the Midlands, the Eastern Nebraska Office of Aging and Nebraska Respite Network, Immanuel Senior Living, and the eight-county Partners in Aging Network.

Other Information:
The registration fee is $90.00 for both days and must be received by October 8th. It includes a continental breakfast, Monday luncheon, refreshment breaks and all conference materials and sessions. The conference will be held at the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus Milo Bail Student Center.
