Description:
The NCSU Equine Forage Management Short Course is designed to provide horse owners with practical forage management guidelines. Course materials will be taught at an intermediate level to enhance introductory level information previously taught at county extension meetings. Special emphasis will be placed on maximizing the use of forages and hay or pasture to economically meet the horses’ nutrient requirements. Participants will have an opportunity to view the latest research results on pasture management and grazing techniques for horses. Participants successfully completing the course will receive 0.7 Continuing Education Credits from North Carolina State University.
