Guest speakers: Stephen Abrahms, PhD, Nutrition Professionals, Inc., and Charles Gardner, DVM, Cargill Animal Nutrition.
The transition period is one of the most important and most stressful in the life of a cow. Clearly, nutrition plays a key role in maintaining high milk production and in minimizing metabolic disorders and health-related problems. Is there room for improvement in your transition program? Are you interested in learning new ideas that are working well at the farm level? In this workshop a nutrition professional will provide highlights of sound transition nutrition program. Pairs of producers and their nutritionists will provide insight into "what works" in an interactive round-table discussion.
