Description:
Learn how to link digital pictures with corresponding GPS points for use in GIS maps! This course is designed to be useful for people with no prior GIS experience, as well as, current GIS users interested in collecting georeferenced digital pictures. Hyperlinking pictures with GPS points will allow pictures to be viewed interactively in GIS programs. Basic GIS concepts will be covered, including obtaining NH GIS data and creating GIS maps. Free GIS programs (AccuGlobe and Google Earth) are utilized for most of the GIS exercises, but instruction is provided for linking pictures in ESRI software.
