National Hispanic Hall of Famer Dr. Guadalupe Quintanilla will be the keynote speaker at the 2008 Urban-Rural Interface Conference (URIC) in Huntsville, Alabama on Thursday, April 24. The URIC is designed to educate consumers about linguistic and cultural barriers many immigrants face, particularly the nation’s growing Hispanic population. Invited keynote and panelist speakers will engage the audience in discussions about problems and potential solutions on how to develop and strengthen services to immigrant audiences in the areas of health, labor, education, community relations, and economics.
