Penn State Dairy Alliance offers training to help Pennsylvania Profit and Target Dairy Teams learn the strategies they need to operate successfully. In 2007, the Center for Dairy Excellence introduced a new option to its Profit Team program, the “Target Team,” and increased funding levels for producers who use the team approach to enhance the productivity of their operation. The Target Team complements the existing Profit Team program by applying the team concept to a targeted bottleneck-specific area while assigning a specific timeline to accomplish the task. Any dairy producer in Pennsylvania is eligible to apply, with financial support and other resources available to those who are accepted into either program.
