Alfalfa fields adjacent to rangeland are more vulnerable and apt to suffer damage. Pronghorns often move out of pastures that are heavily grazed by cattle to ungrazed areas.
Frightening with propane or acetylene exploders may also provide temporary relief from crop damage.
