The goal for proper home lawn irrigation is to apply the correct amount of water uniformly across the turf and avoid wasting water by applying it to streets, other hardscapes, or landscaped areas that do not need the water. Whether you are using underground automatic irrigation systems or attaching a single sprinkler to a portable hose, the key to healthy turf is deep, infrequent irrigation. Even in the most severe summer drought, irrigation is seldom needed more than once or twice weekly.
Unlike most other resources on the web, we have experts from Universities around the country ready to answer your questions.
