If you have noticeable brown patches in your Kentucky bluegrass lawn and suspect that grubs may be causing the problem, it is easy to confirm. Grab a handful of grass and see if it easily pulls loose, exposing the white grubs. It is normal to find a few grubs in the soil, and healthy turf can outgrow most damage. If you find an average of eight or more grubs per square foot, however, your lawn may require grub treatment in order to avoid having to re-establish damaged areas of grass.
