How is agroterrorism different from bioterrorism?

Related resource areas: Agrosecurity and Floods

Agroterrorism is the actual or threatened use of chemical, biological, or radiological (CBR) agents against any segment of the agricultural or food system.

Bioterrorism is the actual or threatened use of biological agents against an individual, business, government, or population.

The terms are closely related. Biological agents are one of the most probable agents used in agroterrorism. However, chemical or other agents can also be used in agroterrorism, and chemical agents are not defined as bioterrorism.
