Most home health aide services provide private pay services and may also keep a list of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) that are interested in additional work. All CNAs are listed on a Home Health Registry that shows reports of abuse or client neglect.
Newspapers often have ads for people interested in being caregivers. Check online with the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging at http://www.n4a.org for agencies that might keep a list of bonded caregivers in your area. Caregivers working for Area Agencies on Aging have provided references when hired and may be interested in private pay when not at their regular job. Local hospital discharge planners may have a list of bonded caregivers as well.
Unlike most other resources on the web, we have experts from Universities around the country ready to answer your questions.
