High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a synthetic sweetener made from corn. It is cheaper to produce than sugar and has been replacing sugar in products since the 1980s. It provides calories and a sweet taste.
Research has failed to prove any connection between HFCS and obesity even though the increased incidence of obesity has coincided with the increased use of HFCS.
Unlike most other resources on the web, we have experts from Universities around the country ready to answer your questions.
