If I am concerned about possible animal agroterrorism on my property, whom do I contact?

Related resource areas: Agrosecurity and Floods

If you are concerned about an activity in progress on your property, call 911 or other local law enforcement authorities immediately.

If you are concerned that your animals are ill due to an agroterrorism event that introduced a biological agent onto your property, call your veterinarian also. If your veterinarian confirms that a disease agent has been introduced onto your property either intentionally or accidentally, he/she will activate a communication network that involves your state department of agriculture. In the event of the intentional or accidental introduction of a disease agent of concern on your property, you will receive specific and detailed instructions from animal health regulatory authorities about what you should do.
