Energy Booster is one of several rumen inert fats we recommend to feed to high-producing cows needing added energy they cannot get from forages, concentrates, and other less expensive fat/oil sources. Milk responses cover the inert fat cost, and the added benefits of less weight loss, improved reproduction, and less metabolic disorders are additional reasons to add inert fats. The Net Energy of lactation value is high because it is high in fatty acid content (no mineral or other nonfat sources) and is similar to tallow or vegetable oil in megacalories. We suggest you select the product based on cost per unit of inert fat.
