How often do horses need to be dewormed?

Related resource areas: Horses

This is highly dependent on your local area (climate, season of year, parasite load commonly found in horses there, etc.). Your local veterinarian can give you recommendations specific to your area. The general rule of thumb is that adult horses should be dewormed every two to three months.
