My baby cries all the time, and I have done everything I can think of. What else can I do to help?

First of all, please understand that some babies cry more than others, and sometimes it has nothing to do with you or what you do as a parent. Here are some tips for working with a crying baby. Rocking and stopping, rocking and stopping while holding your baby with her head up and her feet down usually helps her quiet down. Continuous rocking with your baby lying across your lap may put her to sleep. Swaddle or wrap your baby in a soft, warm blanket with just his head uncovered. Burp your baby gently to see if an air bubble in her stomach is making her uncomfortable. Sucking on pacifiers is soothing to many babies and helps them calm down. Cure diaper rash by leaving the diaper off and wrapping your baby loosely in a blanket. Powder his bottom with cornstarch instead of powder. Share shifts with your partner, relative, or friend. Take turns taking care of a crying baby so you (and your baby) can get a break.
