Does it matter how much time I spend with my infant?

Related resource areas: Parenting

Research indicates that infants benefit from more stimulation and care from their parents.
Researchers believe that babies benefit from having a close bond with more than one
person. If your baby has one parent, other people can be important in your baby’s life
such as grandparents, brothers and sisters and child care providers. No parent should think they must be with the baby all day, every day. This is hard on you, and may not be best for your baby. But as a parent you should try to spend some quality time with your infant every day.
