My baby seems fascinated with other babies. Why does she like watching other babies?

Babies love watching children of all ages. They love watching children as much as they love watching other babies. You will see your baby get excited while watching other children play and interact. As stated in other FAQs, children learn by watching others so providing opportunities for play groups and social activities will promote growth and development in your baby. When you are around town, you will meet other parents with their babies. Notice how much the babies like to look at each other. Babies really do like other babies. Make a date to meet another parent and baby at the park or at your home. Make it a fun time. See what the babies will do with each other. It’s great to watch another parent and baby together. You can learn a lot from just watching, and they learn from you, too.
