Is it legal to poison an alligator?

There are no poisons registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for alligator control. So it is illegal to poison them.

For information on alligator control, visit Alligator Control as well as the Web site of your state's wildlife department. Because of increasing alligator populations, most states have an active alligator management program. For an example, you can see Florida's at Florida Gator Information.
