My doctor says not to eat any greens. It had something to do with blood thinners. Can you explain why the doctor said this?

Leafy dark green vegetables contain vitamin K. This vitamin helps your blood clot when you are injured. However, adding vitamin-K-rich foods to your diet changes the blood thinner dosage needed to prevent unwanted clots. It’s important to eat about the same amount of vitamin K each day to allow your medication to work correctly.

It's always important to talk to your health care provider when you have questions like these. Also, tell your health care provider about any over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and minerals you take.
