There are many frozen food options for consumers today. The key is to look for the “healthy” and lean frozen meals that are lower in fat, sodium, and calories than regular frozen meals.
Avoid fried or stuffed products, as well as those in heavy sauces (including vegetables) or breading. Look for the "nutrition facts" panel on the side or back of each food package to help you choose the best ones for you. It will tell you serving size; calories per serving; and fat, sodium, and cholesterol content. plus a lot more information.
You can also freeze home-prepared foods in single-serving sized portions to reheat later.
