Who can prepare a Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan (CNMP) that would allow the preparation costs of the CNMP to be reimbursed by USDA/NRCS?

A Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan (CNMP) that is accepted for use by the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) must be prepared by either an NRCS employee (approved to prepare CNMPs) or a Technical Service Provider (TSP) who is approved in the category of CNMP Plan Development. TSPs are individuals who have completed a specific set of requirements developed by NRCS. TSPs approved for CNMP plan development have completed a specific set of requirements in that service category. To have the CNMP preparation costs reimbursed (or partially reimbursed), the producer must select a TSP from a list of NRCS-approved consultants. Available TSPs are maintained on the USDA TechReg Web site.
