Are all bees honeybees?

Related resource areas: Pesticide Environmental Stewardship

Nope! There are many (4,000) species of native bees, and with the appearance of invasive mites and colony collapse disorder occurring in managed honeybees, more attention is being given to these native bees and the ecological services (like pollination) they provide.

Here is a USDA publication on Gardening for Native Bees in North America: Gardening for Native Bees.
