How can a farmer figure his instantaneous crop yield?

To determine instantaneous crop yield, a farmer must first know rate of grain flow through the combine's clean grain system, the combine's travel speed, the cutting width of the header. Then, the farmer uses the following formula for calulating instantaneous crop yield:

instantaneous yield = (grain flow rate x unit conversion factor) / (cutting width x ground speed)
