How do you calculate instantaneous crop yield?

First, you must find out the rate of grain flow through the combine's clean grain system, the combine's travel speed, and cutting width of the header. The equation for instantaneous crop yield is calculated using the following formula:
instantaneous yield = (grain flow rate x unit conversion factor) / (cutting width x ground speed)
