I lost my job and I need assistance with purchasing food and paying utility bills. What do I need to do?

You need to go to your county Department of Family and Children Services Agency and tell the intake worker what you need. They will assist you or refer you directly to a local community service that will help you. You can also go to the United Way Web site at www.211scg.org to inquire about what types of community resources exist in the geographical area where you reside.
