How can I keep ticks out of my horse's ears and off the body? We live on a very large farm, so ground control is impractical.

Short of ground control, the best way to control ticks is by repellents and insecticides (fly and tick sprays). Daily applications of mild insecticides such as pyrethrins will prevent most tick attachments. For removal of ear ticks, sprays or wipes can be used to kill the ticks. Check your horse daily while grooming to ensure control and management of ticks.
