We are living in Southern Turkey in the Antalya region which has a semi-tropical climate. We are about to start growing alfalfa for our horses and would also like to grow paddock grass. The soil is a sand/lime mix, rich in calcium. Which kind of grass seeds do you recommend for horse pasture in our region?

In your semi-tropical climate, warm season perennial grasses would probably work best, such as Bahiagrass or Bermuda grass. These grasses will grow well in warmer climates with adequate rainfall and sandy soils. For further information on warm season perennial grasses, visit the links below.
