Have a question? Try asking one of our Experts
This is a difficult situation, but home health agencies have started to develop emergency plans for continuing to provide service during times of disaster.
Whether or not the home health care worker continues to come as scheduled is likely to depend on the kind of evacuation and the severity of the disaster. Ask your home health care agency to provide you a copy of their disaster plan.
After you review the plan, work with your home health care provider or its designated person to develop a specific plan for how to prepare for an emergency. That way you will know what you can expect from the home health care provider and what you will need to be prepared to deal with on your own.
Unlike most other resources on the web, we have experts from Universities around the country ready to answer your questions.
