FAQ #28447

Have a question? Try asking one of our Experts

How is oxygen dissolved in water?

It is dissolved through photosynthesis and diffusion. Green plants produce oxygen through photosynthesis and release it directly into the water. Water motion and wave action increase the diffusion of oxygen from the air into the water.
