How do I talk to my health care provider about my medications?

Related resource areas: Family Caregiving

To talk effectively to your health care provider about your medications, prepare a list of all the medications you are currently taking, both prescription and non-prescription, before your appointment. Also, there are some important questions that you will want your health care provider to answer while you're in the office. Write these questions down ahead of time. Leave room under each question so that you can write down the answer and read it back to your health provider to make sure you wrote the information down correctly.
