Seeding is done with mechanical planters which can cover up to 24 rows during a single planter pass. The planter opens a small trench or furrow in each row, drops in a pre-determined amount of seed, covers them and packs the soil firmly on top of them. The seed is planted at uniform intervals in either small clumps (“hill-dropped”) or singularly (“drilled”).
Unlike most other resources on the web, we have experts from Universities around the country ready to answer your questions.
