Why should America become pluralistic?

Related resource areas: Diversity Across Higher Education

America should become pluralistic so that is can begin to fully
utilize the abilities and talents that each ethnicity and culture brings with it when a person immigrates. If America were pluralistic, each group would at least be tolerated if not completely accepted and used for the benefit of our society. This would allow our culture to retain it's "American" identity while keeping some racial and ethnic differences to enhance our society whether it be economically, socially, intellectually, or technologically.
