FAQ #305

When should I begin showing my young 3-year-old horse?

Related resource areas: Horses

A three-year-old that is well fed should have the size, maturity and soundness to be physically ready to show. The next deciding factor is when will the horse have the level of training needed to be ready to show. Also, the amount of experience that you have as a rider can also play into this scenario. When you and your horse have the training and experience needed to be competitive, the horse should be physically ready.
