Most manure P and K should become crop available to the first crop. We estimate that 70% of the P and 90% of the K in manure is or will become crop available during the first crop season. Other states use other estimates which range from 70 to 100%. As with fertilizer P or K, the nutrients will react with the soil with some continuing to be available in the labile pool but most becoming unavailable or non-labile.
