Can high-pitched ultrasonic frequency be heard by or affect my horse?

Horses can hear frequencies up to 35 kHz. Horses do not engage in ultrasonic communication, but it appears that they have evolved high-frequency hearing primarily in response to the need to localize the sound. An anti-bark collar used by some horse owners does not seem to affect horses. However, you might test the controller around horses in a controlled environment.
