What has the fire done to my property value?

The effect of wildfire on property value can be temporary to dramatically long-term. All properties have different attributes and improvements that affect their market value, and fire can affect many of these. In some cases, opening up views previously blocked by trees can increase property values. An assessment of direct impacts, such as the damage or loss of buildings and vegetation, and indirect impacts, such as the loss of privacy or damage to appearances, can help determine post-fire property values.
