If you file an extension to file your taxes, is the Roth IRA contribution cut-off date still April 15?

Yes. Roth IRA contributions must be made by the tax due date, which is generally April 15. Contributions can be made to an IRA for a specific tax year at any time during that year or by the due date for filing the return for that year, not including extensions. Therefore, Roth IRA contributions for a particular tax year (for example, 2009) must be made by April 15 of the following year (for example, 2010).
