If I am evacuated during a wildfire, how can I find out the condition of my home?

Depending on the availability of personnel, the fire services, law enforcement, and other emergency agencies will check areas after the fire for structure loss. This can take longer than many homeowners may want, as authorities may not be able to document losses until the fire threat has subsided. The fire information center or evacuation shelters are the best places to find information on the status of your home.
