I was receiving SSI benefits, and they are about to end. Is there any kind of extension I can get? I am currently appealing my Social Security Administration (SSA) denial but am in need of income.

You'll need to check with your local Social Security office or call the national Social Security toll-free number (1-800-772-1213) to inquire about any possible extension of your current benefit amount. In addition, we encourage you to reach out to your local department of social services (sometimes called human services) for information about the availability of and qualifications (for example, age, income) for public benefits that can help you extend your limited income and pay your bills. Different programs have different guidelines, so just because you don't qualify for one program, don't assume that you won't qualify for another.
