FAQ #6061

The leaves on my cucumbers have a narrow fringe around the edge that loses color and dries up. The problem does not appear to spread and only affects the older leaves. Should I be concerned?

This leaf desiccation was probably caused by the plant suffering water stress at one time or another. Cucumbers have a very shallow root system and need frequent watering. Do not let them go dry.
