There are two basic options for financing for your business. Debt, through some type of loan program, works the same way that a loan for a car or a home would work. You will repay the loan, principal plus interest, over a pre-determined time period. The second option for financing is equity, where you offer ownership of a part of your company in order to obtain the financing you require. You can find more information on both of these options at: SBA Financing. Look under the section "Financing Basics" to get started.
