  2. I have a Garmin e-trex Vista handheld GPS. It comes preloaded with a base map, but that map does not have much detail. I would like to know if I can get shapefiles from public websites, load them into the DNR Garmin program and then upload them to my handheld so that my base map will show more detail. I am mainly interested in having my unit show more roads, lakes and streams.
