2. We are in a second year drought area. I am looking to buy rolls of hay to feed horses over the winter. I have found someone who has foxtail millet rolls at a good price. The rolls look good, and the seller says he has sold a lot to horse owners and they love it. I have never run into this type of hay before and usually try to get timothy/orchardgrass mix. 7. I have a 21-acre hay field that I harvest for horse feed. The field was originally seeded as alfalfa which is mostly gone at this point.
