- I have a 25-year-old Paint Fox Trotter mare. She is losing her mane. It looks like she is going bald, but it is not breaking off. We are trying to put weight on her with beet pulp and weight gainer. She also gets MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), vitamins, and garlic granules. I'm not quite sure why she is losing the hair. - Our Fox Trotter has a sarcoid on his inner hind right leg. We had it surgically removed in July, but it grew back. After surgery, the vet gave us some sarcoid cream from the University of Liverpool, England, from one of the top vets there who researches sarcoids. We have had to apply three sessions of the cream, in August., September, and October, and still the sarcoid returns. What other treatment is more effective that we should try? We do not have a lot of money to put into this but want our horse to be free of sarcoids. Published: June 18, 2009

- Our horse has swollen ankles. He was an Amish buggy horse for several years and is hardly used now. Mostly pastured, his diet is hay and cracked corn twice a day.
