Freeze branding

Freezebrand


Freeze branding is a form of identification that uses a chilled frozen instrument to mark a horse's hair or skin. Frozen nitrogen is the common substance used to chill irons before use. Hair that grows back where the brand was applied has no pigment, resulting in a white brand.
