Low priced stocks issued by the smallest of companies. Companies with low or "micro" capitalization typically have limited assets and a small total market value. Many microcap stocks trade in small volumes in the "over the counter" (OTC) market, with prices quoted on the OTC Bulletin Board or "Pink Sheets."
