Supervised Classification

Supervised classification refers to a technique in remote sensing whereby samples of known pixels are used to classify pixels of unknown identity. Samples of known pixels are located in training areas or training fields.

Supervised classification refers to a technique used in image analysis computer programs to find all the pixels on an image that have the same value as the known pixels.
