BOZEMAN, Mont.--A new online library from Montana State University's Extended University and TechRanch features free video and audio podcasts for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

The library, called the Montana Entrepreneurship Online Resource Library, contains online lectures from TechRanch's Entrepreneurial Knowledge (TREK) Series. The speakers address topics relevant to Montana small businesses and entrepreneurs, such as management strategy, sales and teamwork. Extended University creates the Web podcasts and online library.

One of the video lectures is Dan Rice of Livingston's PrintingForLess addressing how to plan or remodel a business facility. MSU Professor Frank Kerins discusses how to establish the market value of an entrepreneurial venture, and Gary Bloomer gives an overview of the bootstrapping business development program for rural Montana companies.

"This program brings high-quality information to a much larger cross-section of Montana entrepreneurs--to those individuals that are catalysts for innovation and job growth in our state," said Gary Bloomer, director of client development at TechRanch.

The library will continue to grow with video and audio podcasts on marketing, operations, technology transfer and other relevant topics. Access the library through the TechRanch home page at http://www.techranch.org or at http://eu.montana.edu/media/entrepreneur

The project is supported by a grant from the Qwest Foundation and is part of the outreach missions of Qwest, TechRanch and MSU Extended University.

TechRanch is nationally recognized among leading innovation centers, incubators and universities as a role model for high-tech economic development in underserved and rural markets and is often referred to as a statewide SWAT team for business development in the high-tech sector of Montana's economy. Extended University is an MSU outreach center that specializes in using technology and traditional teaching to enhance lifelong learning.
