Short Biography Pat Evans is director of the Equine Science and Management Emphasis at Utah State University along with being the Extension Equine Specialist. She continues to develop the extension aspect with clinics across the state while also involving surrounding states. While Pat's main focus is adult learning, she also hosts several youth clinics throughout the year.
The undergraduate equine program is a new emphasis for USU but it has begun with very strong interest from students across the country. Students are involved in daily farm operations as well as assisting with extension events.
Pat comes from a strong horse background that includes gymkana events, dressage, cross country, stadium jumping, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, and training AQHA youth and amateurs for all around type events. She continues to train young horses at USU for the show pen when she has time.
